A housewife has died in a gang raped at Nikli haor upazila of Kishoreganj.
She died at Kishoreganj General Hospital on Wednesday.
Police have arrested at least four people including victim ‘s husband in the incident.
Uncle of slain housewife said, Lalchan Miah in Shahpur village got married to my niece a few months ago. After the marriage, Lalchan Miah pressured his wife to engage in prostitution and anti-social activities.
Husband Lalchan Miah even threw the other accused behind his wife. In such an incident, an arbitral tribunal was held in the area a few days ago. Ronnie, the number one accused in the case, threatened to educate me and my niece. Due to this, last Monday my niece left my house to go to her husband’s house.
When she reached shahpur Junction around 9.30 pm, the accused who had been lying in wait, tied a towel around his face and took her to the follow land on the side of road.
