Ena Saha had a lot fun on the sets of Shabbir Mallick’s debut film, Bhoot Chaturdashi. A part of it was shot at a deserted house in Bolpur. Thoguh the team took around 10 days to complete that leg of the shoot, incessant rain made the job more difficult.
“We had to reschedule everything according to the rain, but, at times, it was really fun,” said Ena.
Describing further, Ena said that the surroundings were beautiful. “It was a forest area filled with eucalyptus trees. Even though it was beautiful during the day time, it was a bit spooky at night,” she said.
To meet the shooting deadline, the entire team had to work day and night. Many of the cast and crew members also experienced a unique eerie feeling inside the house.
“After spending 10 days in the house, I can say with utter confidence that there was something unusual. As soon as I entered, I felt something weird, but no one believed me. But as time passed, many of us faced some or the other funny incident,” she said. However, for her, the overall shooting was quite a fun experience.
The story revolves around four friends, who go on a road trip and end up in a haunted house. They want to shoot a documentary. However, things start getting messy when they enter the house. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
The story is by Manik Bhaumik, who himself is a fan of horror movies. Just like the director, the lead cast also belongs to the next generation.
The four leads are Aryann Bhowmik, Ena Saha, Deepsheta Mitra and Soumendra Bhattacharya.
