Dutch Bangla Bank formally launched the ABMT Service of Western Union for the first time in Bangladesh on Wednesday.
ABMT, which stands for Account Based Money Transfer, allows the beneficiaries to get the Western Union remittance from DBBL ATMs.
From now, Bangladeshi Wage Earners can send money from Western Union Agent Locations from over 200 countries worldwide and the beneficiaries in Bangladesh can receive the funds using DBBL Debit Card from any DBBL ATM instantly and securely.
Faisal Alhijawi, Senior Business Development Manager, Western Union-Middle East and Africa and Naved Ashraf, Senior Country Manager, Western Union-Bangladesh and Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Deputy Managing Director of Dutch Bangla Bank were present at the ceremony.
