West Indies have beaten India by five wickets in a thrilling last-over contest to clinch the title of ICC Under-19 World Cup.

 West Indies wobbled in their chase, but Carty and Paul showed great composure to steer them home.

 SN Khan scored top 51 runs, facing 89 balls which played the key role to win the match. Besides, AS Joseph and RD John took three wickets each.

 Earlier, losing all wickets India managed to score 145 runs at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in city’s Mirpur area on Sunday (February 14).

 Winning the toss, West Indies decided to bowl first, a proven good decision taken by skipper Shimron Hetmyer.

 Sarfaraz Khan hit 51 runs, Batham 21 and Lomror 19 to lead the team to 145 runs. No other batsmen could score a double digit run.
