The Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Muzammel Haque MP said here on Saturday that Muktizoddha Sangsad complexes would be constructed in all the upazila headquarters across the country and the poor freedom fighters would be provided with housing facilities and free health care service and medicines as the present government under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina is taking measures for giving state honour to the freedom fighters to improve their living condition.
He also said that a special law would be enacted soon so that none could speak against the country’s Liberation War.
In this context, he came down heavily on the BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia for raising questions over the matters relating to the numbers of the liberation war’s martyrs saying that Khaleda Zia do not have any faith in our independence and sovereignty , so she is making controversial comments against our independence like a “Moyna bird” following the language of her Pakistani friends or Pakistani parliament.
The minister Muzammel Haque said these while inaugurating as chief guest the newly constructed Muktizoddha complex at old collectorate office premises here on Saturday .
The deputy minister for youth and sports Arif Khan Joy MP addressed the function as special guest while deputy commissioner Netrakona Dr. Torun Kanti Shikder was in the chair.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Commander of Muktizoddha Sangsad Netrakona District unit Nurul Amin and Deputy Commander of the Unit Abdul Motin.
