Right-arm pacer Ebadot Hossain of Bangladesh said, ” We want to win Test series against South Africa.”
Bangladesh earned a historic 2-1 win in the three-match One Day International (ODI) series against the Proteas in South Africa recently. This is for the first time Bangladesh beat South Africa in an ODI series in South Africa.
Earlier, Bangladesh defeated New Zealand in a Test at Mount Maunganui in New Zealand recently. Ebadot Hossain got inspiration from that victory and hopes that they will win over South Africa.
Ebadot said, ” We did well in the starting of this year by beating New Zealand in Mount Maunganui. Our confidence became high after won over New Zealand in the first Test. We are trying hard that we shall keep our confidence and we shall go forward. Our confidence helps us to beat South Africa in the ODI series. Now we want to Test series. Thanks to the Almighty that we beat South Africa.”
Though Bangladesh defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in the first Test at Mount Maunganui in New Zealand, but Bangladesh lost to the Black Caps by an innings and 117 runs in the second Test. The first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa will start in Durban in South Africa from March 31.
Ebadot said, ” After posting a win against South Africa in the ODI series recently, all the players of Bangladesh are confident and are boost up by the victory. We are confident that we will present a better brand of cricket in the upcoming Test series against South Africa. It is a good news that our pacers are doing well. Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman and I are trying to bowl well. It was tough task for us to beat South Africa in the recently concluded ODI series. But we did it.”
