Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuiyan said, ” We want to bag the trophy of the SAFF Championship after showing our best football. We want to do well in Maldives.”
Bangladesh will take part in the upcoming SAFF Championship, the most prestigious football competition of South Asia. A total of five teams will compete in the SAFF Championship, scheduled to held at Male, the capital city of Maldives. Hosts Maldives, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka will participate in the gala football meet.
Bangladesh team will leave the city today for Maldives to compete in the SAFF Championship.
Jamal Bhuiyan made his international debut in the SAFF Championship in 2013. After that, Bangladesh were ousted from the SAFF Championship in the last three editions after playing the first phase.
Jamal Bhuiyan said, ” We have taken part in good practice sessions and we are in a good rhythm. I hope we shall bring a good result for our country.” Newly appointed Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Oscar Bruzon said, ” I want that my boys will adapt 4-3-3 combination.”
He said, ” Our first match is against Sri Lanka. If we start our SAFF campaign with victory, it will be an auspicious start for us.”
Former head coach Jamie Day followed 3-4-3 combination. But most of the Bangladesh clubs played using 4-3-3 combination. The new coach also wants that his boys will follow 4-3-3 combination. So, I hope we shall not face any problem.”
Head Coach Oscar Bruzon said, ” I am confident with my scorers. I hope they can score using the opportunities.”
Oscar Bruzon returned to Dhaka from Maldives recently. His team Bashundhara Kings could not move in the next round as his team made a draw with Mohan Bagan. Mohun Bagan reached the next round by virtue of better goal difference.
He said, ” I have clear idea about the strength of India and Maldives. I shall try to execute my experience for Bangladesh Football team.”
