Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-14 Girls’ Football team Golam Robbani Choton said, ” We shall retain our championship.”
Choton spoke at a press conference at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Wednesday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Deputy Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Captain of Bangladesh Under-14 Girls’ Football team Marzia also spoke at the conference.
Bangladesh Under-14 Girls’ Football team will leave the city tomorrow for Dushanbe of Tajikistan to take part in the AFC Under-14 Girls’ Regional Championship.
Choton said, ” We got above one month to take preparation for AFC Under-14 Girls’ Regional Championship, which is scheduled to be held at Dushanbe in Tajikistan from April 26 to May 1. We played three exhibition matches. Eight players from previous squad are included in the squad. We are confident that we can retain our championship title.”
Kiron Said, ” We have a satisfactory preparation to fight for championship title. We drew with India last year and we beat Nepal and Iran.”
Marzia said, ” We took part at the practice sessions at BKSP for above one month. We participated at the practice sessions in morning and in the afternoon daily at BKSP. We got enough opportunity to prepare ourselves for the ensuing football meet.
BKSP authority gave us all sorts of cooperation for our practice there.”
A total of seven teams splitting into two groups will take part in the AFC Under-14 Girls’ Regional Championship.
Bangladesh, Nepal, India have been billed in Group B while Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bhutan and Iran have been placed in Group A.
The players of Bangladesh team are: Taslima, Mahmuda, Rupna Chakma, Shamsunnahar, Nazma, Anai, Nila, Dipa, Sadia, Asha, Maria, Monika, Tohura, Laboni, Sajeda, Akhi, Marzia (Captain) and Anuching.
The officials are: Rasheda Rahman (Team Manager), Golam Robbani Choton (Head Coach), Md Mahbubur Rahman Litu (Assistant Coach), Mahmuda Akter (Assistant Coach), Md Shazib Shams Bakshi (Physician).
