Batting Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Jamie Siddons said, ” We have very good bowling lineup to win in T20Is against West Indies. As we have good bowlers, so, we don’t need massive score to notch up victory. My boys have to score a good total to win T20Is. Single runs are important but boundaries powered a team to win T20I. If my boys can score a good number of boundaries, they can win the matches. We have no hardhitters. Our batters have not gigantic figures. But the batters, who have gigantic figures like Jos Buttler, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis have gigantic figures. But we have no such kind of batters. Our batters have no strong physic like the other batters, who have good physic.”
After disastrous performance in two-Test matches against West Indies recently, Bangladesh Cricket team will start their three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against the hosts West Indies from tomorrow. Bangladesh may suffer in T20Is for their batting performance like the outgoing Test series. As Bangladesh Cricket team have no hardhitter, so, it will be tough for them to make a massive score. But Batting Coach Jamie Siddons believes that to win the T20I matches, there is no need to a massive score.
Siddons said, “My boys could not perform well in the recently concluded Test series. But I am now focusing in T20Is. After taking the responsibility of Batting Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team, I watched only two T20I matches of my team. So, I did not get much time to comment about our performance in T20I cricket. I know we have some good players in squad. So, I want to watch their performance in the three-match T20I series.”
He said, ” My boys have to get enough time to improve their batting skill as well as power hitting. We have to spend much time to improve our batting performance.”
