The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday interrogated managing director of Dhaka WASA (Water Supply & Sewerage Authority) Engr. Taqsem A Khan in connection with an alleged irregularity in the Padma (Jashaldia) Water Treatment Plant Project.
ACC assistant director Sheikh Abdus Salam questioned him for nearly one hour at the ACC head office, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
According to the allegation received by the ACC, Dhaka WASA signed an agreement with a private firm one year ago for approval of the project, and imported substandard pipes before land acquisition of the project causing loss of a huge amount of public money.
