Today is the first day of the Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC)’s ward-based corona vaccination program. MCC has a target of vaccinating a total of 19,800 people in 33 centers in 33 wards, with 600 people being vaccinated every day. Vaccinations will be given on August 8 and 9 with the same target.
Under the direction of Mayor Md. EkramulHaque Titu, the health department of the city corporation is implementing this program under the supervision of local ward councilors. To make the vaccination program a success, 22 officers and employees of the City Corporation have been given the responsibility of monitoring. Also, to motivate people to get vaccinated, the mayor announced to reward the ward councilor and attached officer who provided the most vaccinations.
Mayor Md. Ekramul Haque Titu said in this regard, “We are determined to implement the directives of the Prime Minister.” We are working with utmost importance to make the immunization program successful at the ward level. I have already succeeded in ensuring that most people are vaccinated at the beginning of corona vaccination in the country. People have been able to get vaccinated in a beautiful environment with great ease. Ganatika activities at the ward level will be no exception.
Ward councilors and officers and employees have devoted themselves to this work with utmost sincerity.
He added that the people of the country are safe under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Compared to many developed countries, we are ahead in immunization activities. Today I am able to conduct mass vaccination activities under the strong leadership of Prime Minister. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, it is possible to bring most of the people of the country under the corona vaccine as soon as possible.
Senior officials of various departments, officials and employees of the city corporation inspected the vaccination activities today.
