‘Walton’, a local electronic company, has experienced a record in the sale of its products in Ramzan compared to the last year’s Ramzan. The local brand registered about 65 percent growth in its overall sales in this Ramzan against the last one. The overall turnover in the current month also surpassed the target of selling out 40 percent higher products than that of the previous one, says a press release.
The Walton officials said, sales of fridges and LED televisions have been increased substantially in the month of Ramzan. In addition, they experienced remarkable growth in the sales of its mobile phone, air conditioner, blender, juicer, microwave oven, rechargeable fan, table and ceiling fan, rice cooker, pressure cooker, LED bulb, light, switch-socket and other home and kitchen appliances.
Usually, the demands for electronics and electrical products, specially fridge and television, are gone up across the country during the month of Ramzan following the Eid-ul-Fitr. This year, the sweltering summer heat across the country also led the demands to go up. Thus, the fridges and AC’ sales were increased substantially in this Ramzan.
Amdadul Haque Sarker, executive director (marketing dept.) of Walton Group, said, they sold out more than two lakh fridges, which are higher than the target of selling out two lakh fridges this Ramzan. In Last year’s Ramzan, about 1.40 lakh fridges were sold.
