Walton E-Plaza, a sister concern of the country’s electronics Walton Group, kicked off its journey across the country aimed at further expediting its e-commerce business as well as bringing its world-class wide ranges of high-tech products at people’s doorsteps, says a press release.
Initially, two Walton e-plaza stores are set up, one at Mirpur Mazar Road in the capital and another at Chandra in Gazipur district, on Sunday (November 27, 2016).
Through setting up these stores, the activities of Walton e-plaza, a system of e-commerce business of the local company, are formally launched across the country.
By the end of this year, Walton e-plaza stores, which are being treated as the company’s warehouses and delivery points for the products of online purchase, will be set up in all district towns.
From now, the customers of Walton e-plaza can pay off their product’s purchase bills sitting at home through VISA or MASTER card and WALLETMIX mobile banking instead of carrying cash. Walton e-plaza also offered its customers maximum 5 percent cash discount and conditional free home delivery facilities.
Dwelling on the opening of Walton e-plaza, Walton Group Assistant Director and also the in-charge of e-plaza said, they are selling out their wide ranges of products through online from the beginning of the current year.
The launching of Walton e-plaza also paved the way for the Non-Resident Bangladeshis to buy the local brand’s products through online orders from overseas places, he added.
