Walton Cricketers to leave for Thailand on March 28

The Walton Cricketers will leave for Thailand on March 28 to take part in the Chiang Mai International Cricket Tournament scheduled to be held in Thailand from March 30.
A total of 32 teams will take part in the six-a-side cricket meet. Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and many other countries will participate in the cricket competition.
Bangladesh clinched the title of the meet for consecutive two years. If this year Bangladesh gain the trophy then Bangladesh will make a hat-trick.
Bangladesh took part in this tournament for eight times and Bangladesh bagged the championship trophy for four times.
Walton is sponsoring the cricket team of Bangladesh. For this reason the name of Bangladesh team is Walton Cricketers.
Regarding the sponsorship deal, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Khaled Mahmud Sujan, Operative Director of Walton Uday Hakim, cricketer Elias Sunny and AGM of Walton Milton Ahmed were present at the conference.
Former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team and Director of BCB Naimur Rahman Durjoy will lead the Walton Cricketers.
Khaled Mahmud Sujan, Elias Sunny, Rubaet Haque, Mehrab Hossain, Ariful Hasan Sabuj, Mehedi Hasan Siddique Maruf and Minhaj Ahmed will play for Walton Cricketers.
The final will be held on April 5.
It is noteworthy that Thailand have arranged the tournament for 27 years.
