Walton continued their sponsorship right with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as they again earned the sponsorship right for 18th National Cricket League (NCL) for the next three years starting from Sunday (September 25) at four separate venues across the country.
The four venues are Rajshahi, Bogra, Khulna and Sylhet. It was announced on Thursday by BCB through a press conference held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
BCB director and tournament committee’s chairman Saiful Ahmed Chowdhury Swapan said, “The 18th NCL is going to start from Sunday (Sept 25) and Walton has been named the title sponsor of the league… I would like to thank Walton on behalf of BCB. The matches will be held in first and second tier in four venues.”
Walton operative director Uday Hakim also thanked the BCB for giving opportunity to become title sponsor of the league.
The first tier teams of this season are Barisal Division, Dhaka Metro, Khulna Division and Dhaka Division while the second tier teams are Rajshahi Division, Rangpur Division, Chittagong Division and Sylhet Division.
The BCB director and cricket operations committee’s chairman Akram Khan, Walton executive director SM Zahid Hasan, Walton group senior deputy director Firoz Alam and its assistant director Milton Ahmed were present, among others, on the occasion.
