Walton attract visitors at IPU Assembly Fair

Home appliance manufacturer company Walton has drawn huge praises from foreign delegates at an exhibition on the sidelines of the 136th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) assembly being held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital, The exhibition has been organised to showcase the country’s exportable goods and heritage to the foreign delegates, said a press release.
Visiting the exhibition, Walton attracts IPU members d for its high standards products, perfect finishing and magnificent designs. They specially admired Walton for manufacturing world standard intensive energy efficient inverter technology refrigerators, air conditioners along with using environment friendly R600a gas in compressors. The foreign delegates were overwhelmed by knowing about the role of Walton in expanding the country’s technology-based products industry, creating nearly 32,000 employments, building expert manpower and establishing one of the largest Research and Development (R&D) departments in Asia. Besides, they praised Walton for achieving ‘AAA’ credit rating along with a 5-star rating from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI), exporting products to more than 20 countries and providing quick and best after sales service to customers through more than 400 service centers where 3,000 engineers and technicians work.
Chaired by Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, a total of 1,348 delegates from 131 countries out of 171 IPU members have joined the five-day assembly that began on Saturday. Bangladesh National Parliament, Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion Bureau organised the exhibition at the Dhaka International Trade Fair premise to display exportable goods and various development activities of the government to the foreign delegates. A total of 59 stalls including 4 pavilions took part in the exhibition where Walton is showcasing world standard frost and non-frost fridges, LED TVs, Inverter-Technology based ACs, laptops, tabs and a wide range of home and electrical appliances at the pavilion no. 18 in the tent no. 2.
Md Humayun Kabir, Executive Director of Walton Group, said, Walton products drew the eyes of the foreign delegates from the first day of the fair. Russia’s Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko, Members of Parliaments from various countries including of Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Bhutan, Island, etc. are among others visited the mini pavilion of Walton and praised the Bangladeshi brand.
While expressing her reaction, Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko said she heard the name of Walton before. ‘Walton, Bangladesh’s brand, I know it,’ she said thanking and whishing success of Walton in future.
Delegates from Africa and Kenia opined that building up communications of the commerce ministries of their countries with Walton is very urgent.
