‘Wonder Boy’ Mustfizur Rahman returned to his form as he captured altogether five wickets against the Aussie in the recently concluded Chittagong Test. The spinners could not perform up to the mark against the batsmen of Australia in Chittagong. In that time Mustafizur Rahman gave his team breakthrough and then shone with the cherry.
Earlier, Mustafizur Rahman bowled 14 overs in the Dhaka Test but failed to get any wicket. Shafiul Islam, the other pacer in the Dhaka Test also failed to bag any wicket. Later, Shafiul Islam was dropped for the Chittagong Test and Mustafizur Rahman was only pacer, who got chance in the Chittagong Test.
Bowling Coach of Bangladesh team Courtney Walsh became happy, as Mustafizur Rahman has got his form.
Courtney Walsh said, ” Mustafiz bowled extremely well. He showed his attacking bowling capacity. He also took control for some time in the Chittagong Test. I think Mustafiz got so many wickets in that Test which gave him confidence.”
Walsh said, ” Mustafiz bagged the wickets of David Warner for twice. It does not mean that Mustafiz climbed an upper stage. Warner is a high-class batsman. Warner and Mustafiz played for same team in IPL. So, Mustafiz will be highly satisfied after performing well.”
He said, ” I am happy that Mustafizur Rahman returned to his attacking attitude. He also came back with his smile. All the things are good for Mustafiz.”
Walsh commented about the upcoming series of South Africa that, ” South African wickets will be bouncy and will give favour to the pacers. The pacers have to be responsible there. We have a little time for preparation. So, I want to work with the pacers as early as I can. I need that the pacers can visit South Africa with a good preparation. South Africa tour is a test and a challenge for us.”
The Bowling Coach of Bangladesh team said, ” We have been improving. Hoping that our experience will help us in the South African condition.”
Bangladesh National Cricket team will leave the city for South Africa on September 16.
Bangladesh will play two Test matches, three One Day International matches and two Twenty20 International matches against South Africa there.
