Wahida Mollick Jolly in big screen after 4 years

After a break of four years, National Film Award winner actress Wahida Mollick Jolly acted in a movie. She acted in role of hero Arfin Shuvo’s mother in noted actor Alamgir directed his first movie Ekti Cinemar Golpo. She has already finished shooting of her role in the movie.
While talking about acting in the movie Jolly told this correspondent, “Though my role was small but I tried my level best to portray the character properly. I performed by own way. Director Alamgir Bhai is an organised person. His pre-production works were disciplined. While taking part in its shooting I realised it properly. I enjoyed a lot. I believe it will become a nice movie.”
Four years ago, Jolly last acted in Gazi Rakayet’s movie Mrittika Maya. For that movie as a costume designer she got the National Film Award in 2013. She first acted in Saidul Anam Tutul’s movie Adhiyar. Later she acted in many movies. Now she is engaged with acting in two serials – Shamim Zaman’s Jhamela Unlimited and Himu Akram’s Bideshi Para.
Jolly also informed that from December she will start shooting of three new serials under Afsana Mimi, Rahmatullah Tuhin and Al Hazen’s direction.
After completing masters in Social Work from Rajshahi University Jolly also completed MA degree in Theatre from Rabindra Bharati University in 1987. In 1989, she joined as Lecturer at Theatre Department of Dhaka University.
