The vote counting in the three city corporations took a slow pace following the withdrawal of different party-backed mayor candidates, including the BNP.
Only five per cent votes were counted till the time of filing of this report at 9:00pm yesterday.
Earlier, the eight-hour window for the voters of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) closed at 4:00 pm.
In DNCC, the number of voters are 23, 45, 37, in DSCC the number of voters 18, 70753 and in CCC the voters 18,13,449.
Of the total 1,093centres in DNCC, only result of 180 was published. Besides, out of total 889centres in DSCC, only result of 234 published. Besides, of the total 719 centres in CCC, the result of 463 were published.
