Chief health officer of Chattogram city corporation Dr. Selim Akter Chowdhury disclosed that a total of five lakh ten thousand aged below five years of old will also be administered vitamin ‘A’ Plus capsules yesterday in 41 wards under Chittagong City Corporation.
Over 500 supervisors including ward Commissioners of CCC conducted the campaign. CCCl administered with Vitamin capsule to five lakh children in the city.
CCC officials said several mobile teams consisting of 278 members in port city were engaged to feed oral vaccines to the children at rail, bus and steamer stations as well as other places.

Civil surgeon office feed vitamin ‘A’ plus capsules to seven lakh 52 thousand 704 while CCC administrated over five lakh children.
A total of 4,861 temporary vaccination centers set up by Chittagong Civil Surgeon office at 15 upazila of the district while CCC set up 1,288 temporary centers in 41 wards to carry out the program. Over 20,000 volunteers and health workers were engaged for feeding vitamin ‘A’ Plus capsules to the children aged from zero to 5 years.
