The views-exchange meeting on the inception report of feasibility study on Dhaka subway was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Bridge Authority in the city on Monday. Team leader of TYPSA, a Spanish consulting engineering group, Martin Thomas presented the report in the meeting with a proposal for a new east-west alignment along with the existing proposed MRT lines 1, 2, 5 and 6 and BRT lines 3 and 7 in the Dhaka subway, said an official press release. Presided over by National Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, the meeting was attended by Engineering-in-Chief of Bangladesh Army Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Professor Dr Khan Mahmud Amanat, Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University Dr Safiullah, Islamic University of Technology, Gazipur, Professor Dr Hossain Md Shahin, Bangladesh Bridge Authority Chief Engineer Kabir Ahmed and Road and Highways Department Superintending Engineer Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, among others.
