Views exchange meet of CMP held

A meeting of views exchange was held at KB Convention centre in Bakalia on Saturday evening with Deputy Police Commissioner Md Kamrul Amin in the chair.
 In the meeting, police commissioner of CMP Abdul Jalil Mondol was present in it as chief guest .
 The police commissioner asked the locals to extend cooperation to law enforcers against the violence and anarchy of the hartal supporters .
 He also urged the people to remain alert against the anti-state activists at any cost aimed at stabling peaceful law and order in the society. Local commissioner and female reserved commissioner also present in, sources said.
AJM Nasir Uddin told reporters that the AL chief selected him for the CCC mayoral election considering his contributions to the party and reviewing different media reports in last two years. “I have been in politics since I was a school student. I am a leader when I am at a political stage but I become a ordinary man when get down from the dais”, he said adding that he wanted cooperation from all to serve the city dwellers as he did before.
Meanwhile, the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) warned of stern action against any attempt to occupy polling centres during the election.
CMP commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol in a view exchange meeting at city’s Bakalia area yesterday said police administration would not tolerate any kind of muscle power during the election.
“Everybody should abide by law as we want a fair, free and acceptable election without inference of any kind of muscle power”, he added.
He also said police would conduct drives to arrest listed criminals, illegal arms owners and professional criminals.
