The Walton Smart TV Victory Day Volleyball Tournament began at the Volleyball Stadium on Thursday.
In the day’s matches, Bangladesh Power Development Board defeated Bangladesh Navy by 3-1 sets, Bangladesh Army overcame Border Guard Bangladesh by 3-0 sets, Bangladesh Air Force beat Bangladesh Police by 3-0 sets and Titas Gas eased past BKSP by 3-0 sets.
Earlier, State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP inaugurated the volleyball meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest while Executive Director of RB Group SM Zahid Hasan was with him as the special guest.
Chairman of the Tournament Committee and Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, President of Bangladesh Judo Federation Brigadier General (Retd) SK Abu Bakar, General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul were present at the time.
