The Walton Victory Day Annual Sports Carnival for Differently-Able Children began at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi on Wednesday.
Minister for Shipping Shahjahan Khan inaugurated the two-day long sports meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest, while Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was with him as the special guest.
President of National Association of Sports for the Persons with Disability (NASPD) Major (Retd) Mohammad Yead Ali Fakir and Secretary General of NASPD Selina Akter were present at the time.
Above 300 participants from different schools and organizations for differently-able children are taking part in the sports competition.
