Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata on Monday celebrated the 49th Victory Day paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Liberation War martyrs.
Deputy High Commissioner Toufique Hasan inaugurated the day’s programme by hoisting the national flag at the chancery in presence of the officers, their spouses and staff members.
Victory Day messages from President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen were read out during the morning session of the celebration.
