Fake warrants and false cases: Victim’s families register protest at SC

Victims’ family members on Thursday orgainsed a human chain program on the Supreme Court premises demanding strong actions against fake arrest warrants and false cases.
The organizers of the human chain program said thousands of people are being harassed by the fake arrest warrants in false cases. In most cases plaintiff
doesn’t know the accused and the vice-versa, they alleged.
Addressing the Chief Justice sufferers said they are not getting justice from anywhere, so they drew Chief Justices attention to get rid of this type of harassment.
Meanwhile, Police first tried to halt the program and finally the administrative officers of the Supreme Court came and removed them from the premises.
A woman who participated in the program said that her father and brother are in jail in five cases. Her brother got Golden A result in the SSC examination.
At least 49 cases have been filed against Akramul Haque Kanchan, a resident of Shantibagh area of the capital city. Among the cases, 13 was filed in CMM court, 15 in different police stations and 8 cases filed in Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge’s court and Narayanganj Police Station and rest of the cases were filed in different police stations of the country, he said.
At least 9 cases were filed against him when he was in jail in different cases.
Members from about 25 families participated in the program. All the victim family members alleged that their relatives and family members are suffering a lot after being accused in the false cases. They sought attention of the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice to get rid of this situation.
