‘Vested quarter trying to deteriorate law and order situation’

Awami League Advisory Council member and former Railway Minister Suranjit Sengupta, MP alleged that a vested quarter has taken to the field to deteriorate law and order situation.
“People have become panicky over the incidents of killings of Khatib of Supreme Court Jame Mosque Moulana Nurul Islam Faruqui and three persons in Moghbazar within a couple of days. So, the law enforcing agencies should remain more vigilant and alert in this regard,” he said.
Suranjit Sengupta, a senior parliamentarian of the ruling Awami League, said this on Friday while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Bangabandhu Academy organised the discussion on the current politics at the auditorium of the Diploma Engineers’ Institution at Kakrail in the capital with its adviser Haji Md Selim, MP in the chair. Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) leader Meer Hossain Akhter and Bangabandhu Academy secretary general

Calling upon the law enforcers to remain more vigilant and alert, Suranjit Sengupta said, “Such anarchy cannot be allowed to continue that human being (people) will be subjected to murder inside their residents by assassins. The police force and the ministry of Home Affairs should take more strong steps so that people are assured of safety of their lives.”
The senior Awami League leader said, “Those who were responsible for deterioration of the law and order situation in the country in the past have become active again. The government should look into the matter diligently.”
