Prof. Dr. M. Abul Kashem, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, the only science & technology University in the North and the second in Bangladesh.
He has taken the University to a unique height since he became the Vice Chancellor of the University. Today, due to his hard work, the academic environment in the University and the quality of education have been improved. He has decorated the university in a combination of natural architectural style beauty. He has ensured adequate dormitory and modern facilities for university students. Today the highest number of foreign students are studying in the university which is a matter of great pride.
The five initiatives implemented by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Abul Kashem have set a significant example. He ensured training of teachers, officers and employees of the university. Established “Agricultural Research Complex” with the aim of expediting agricultural research activities. The research complex aims to increase dairy, poultry, fisheries, and crop production. Launched “Mobile Veterinary Clinic” to provide services to farming families in greater Dinajpur. Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University was the first in Bangladesh to start a state-of-the-art mobile veterinary clinic with all modern facilities for the treatment of livestock of a farming family. As a result of his initiative, the farming families of greater Dinajpur are benefiting immensely. He set up a university “Farmers’ Service Center” (Dr SC) to provide agricultural services to the farmers of greater Dinajpur. This initiative implemented by the Vice-Chancellor is also the first in Bangladesh. He started the “Career Advisory Service” (CADS) the university campus with the aim of providing services and advice to the new graduates of the university, such as jobs, PhD fellowships, scholarships abroad. As a result of this service, the students of the university are getting the right direction in building their bright future.
Confirmed the university is free from political influence. The university has issued a stern warning against misconduct like ragging.
