The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has reduced Value Added Tax (VAT) on locally produced Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in a bid to facilitate its domestic production.
The VAT on LPG cylinders has been slashed to 5.0 per cent from 15 per cent through issuing a Statutory Regulatory order (SRO).
The NBR order, dated September 24, 2020, came into effect on the day of its issuance and will remain valid until June 30 2021.
