Varsity students to get internet bandwidth of Teletalk at nominal cost

The state run telecom operator-Teletalk Bangladesh Limited will provide internet bandwidth to the students of country’s public and private universities at nominal price to keep the online education activities ongoing.
Students of 42 public and 68 private universities who are using Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) platform run by UGC, will get this facility, UGC said in a press release on Wednesday.
The students will be able to take online classes through Zoom Web conferencing tool and they will be able to avail Teletalk network at nominal cost.
The service can be availed by recharging Tk 100 each month and the recharged balance will add to the balance that can be used for voice calls or data while while unused credit will be carried forward in the next recharge.
