Vandalising vehicles 13 BNP leaders charge-sheeted

Court Correspondent :A Dhaka court yesterday (Wednesday) framed charges against 13 BNP leaders including Sultan Salauddin and Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel.Magistrate Md Mahbubur Rahman of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.Ramna Police Station of the city filed the case on January 13, 2010 on charge of interrupting police while they were performing their duties and vandalism on the day. The court fixed March 10 next year for the deposition of prosecution witnesses.Around 50 BNP leaders led by Salauddin Tuku, Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel and Mohammad Amirul Islam Alim obstructed police and vandalised vehicles in the Bijaynagar area of the city against the eviction of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from her Dhaka Cantonment house.Ramna police station’s the then officer-in-charge and sub-inspector were injured in the incident.Later, SI Mohammad Imran Hossain filed the case with the police station on the same day while Investigation Officer of the case submitted the charge sheet of the case against 13 BNP leaders on August 10, 2011.
