A daring dacoity has been Commited at the village of Duttarail under Dhaka Dakshmin Union of Gulapgonj Upazilla in Sylhet at pre-dawn session on Friday.
It has been learnt from the locals and Gulapgonj Model Thana Police that a group of armed dacoits raided at London Community leader Moulana Ashraful Islam and his younger brother businessman Atiqul Islam’s house at the aforesaid village at around 300 a.m. Friday and stormed into the house by breaking open the grill and door, tied all in-mates by means of rope at gunpoint.
The miscreants decamped with booties including Tk 94000 in cash, gold ornaments worth Tk Seven lakh, a DBBL Gun, Cartridge and Mobile phones etc. As Moulana Ashraf has been in London, the inmates including his younger brother Mr. Atique and others were held captive in the bathroom made hue and cry for which the local people rushed to the spot and recover them.
