CJ observes: Vacuum created following death of experienced judges

The Chief Justice (CJ), Surendra Kumar Sinha, on Monday said that vacuum had been created in the judiciary following the death of experienced Judges.
The CJ was speaking at a condolence meeting arranged in memory of the three judges who passed away recently.
Supreme Court Judges Corner arranged the condolence meeting held on the SC premises.
Former Chief Justice M M Ruhul Amin died on January 17, Appellate Division’s Justice Mohammad Bazlur Rahman died on January 1 and High Court division’s Justice J N Deb Choudhury died on December 15, 2016.
The Chief Justice said that former Chief Justice M M Ruhul Amin was a real gentleman.
Justice Bazlur Rahman did every thing for others in his student life. He extended his hand of help for the students. But he never did any thing for himself and his family, he said.
The CJ said that the Judiciary is affected due to the death of Justice J N Dev Choudhury. Nowadays, the Judiciary is facing judge-crisis on civil law. But J N Dev bearded the civil law in his blood.
President of the ‘Supreme Court Judges Corner’ Justice
Mirza Hossain Haider presided over the programme while Secretary Justice A K M Abdul Hakim conducted it.
Former Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Abdul Matin, former Judge of the High Court Division Justice Awlad Ali, Justice Syed Dastagir Hossain, Justice Miftah Uddin Chowdhury, Justice Obaidul Hassan, Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir took part in the discussion.
