Vaccination to continue during lockdown, Ramadan

The government will continue administering the doses of Covid-19 vaccine during the lockdown and Ramadan.
Professor Meerjady Sabrina Flora, additional director general of Directorate General of Medical Services (DGHS), made the disclosure in a release on Monday.
“Administering the second doses of Covid-19 vaccine will start from 8 April and the first dose will be continued at the same time. People will get SMS for second dose from 5 April,” Meerjady Sabrina Flora said.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals will assist in vaccine transportation across the country from 6 April.
She further added, “Covid-19 vaccination will continue during the lockdown and Ramadan. People have to bring vaccine card with them to the vaccination centre.”
Bangladesh is administering the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, produced at the Serum Institute of India, since 7 February. About 55 lakh people have received the first dose so far.
