Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) beat Bangladesh Army by 15-13 points in the opening match of the Walton Victory Day Kabaddi Competition at the Kabaddi Stadium on Sunday.
Earlier, Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs MA Hannan inaugurated the kabaddi meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest while Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Md Nazrul Islam, Chairman of the Tournament Committee ANM Mahfuz Khan, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Kamal Uddin Khan were present at the time.
A total of six services teams are taking part in the eight-day long kabaddi competition. They are: Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Jail team and Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence.
