The Victory Day Handball competition (men’s and women’s) will begin from Monday (Dec 20) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.
A total of twelve teams, six of men’s and equal number of women’s – will compete in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) on the occasion of fifty years of victory day celebration.
A total budget of Taka 5, 19,100 has been estimated to run the competition.
In this regard, a press conference was held on Tuesday at the newly built conference room of Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium to disclose all the details of the meet.
BHF general secretary Asaduzzaan Kohinoor, BHF assistant general secretary Khalekuzzaan Swapan and managing committee’s chairman and EXIM Bank Limited director lieutenant colonel (retd.) Sirajul Islam, were among others, present in the press conference.
