US Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday announced that Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fee collection will no longer be available at Standard Chartered Bank after August 31.
The HSBC will begin collecting MRV fees for visa applications beginning on September 14. The MRV fee receipts will not be available from September 1-13, 2014.
Applicants without a fee receipt will not be able to schedule an interview until September 14, said a media release.
The US Embassy encouraged nonimmigrant visa applicants who plan to travel in September to apply and to schedule an appointment at Saimon Overseas by August 31.
Applicants without immediate travel plans may apply and pay the MRV fee at HSBC beginning September 14.
Applicants who previously received a visa to the United States that was issued after January 1, 2008, are urged to apply through “drop box” program.
