An evening of Tagore songs titled Tomar-e Naam Sokol Tarar Majhey (Your Name Amidst All the Stars) by Ankhi Halder and Anushree Bhattachariya was held recently at Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) in the city’s Dhanmondi area.
A student of doyens like Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and Pijush Barua, Ankhi Halder is an award-winning BTV-enlisted musician. She has performed at numerous prestigious venues in home and abroad (such as Germany, Czeck Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Indonesia, and India).
She currently teaches music at Shurer Dhara, a school of music in Dhaka. Anushree Bhattachariya, also a student of Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and and Pijush Barua, is a Bangladesh Betar and BTV enlisted musician. n
