USA Today :An American C-130 cargo plane crashed early Friday in Afghanistan, killing 11 people, including six U.S. service members, officials said.The plane crashed at Jalalabad Airport in eastern Afghanistan at about midnight local time.According to a news released from the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Airfield inAfghanistan, the plane was assigned to the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, part of the 455th. First responders are still on the scene, and the cause of the crash was under investigation.A spokesman for the Air Expeditionary Wing said six U.S. service members who comprised the plane’s crew died, along with five civilian passengers. No further information was immediately available. C-130s are used to transport military personnel and cargo.
