Urmi Akter of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP gained gold medal in the women’s singles of the Badminton Competition of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games defeating Brishti Khatun of Bangladesh Army by 21-23, 21-13, 21-14 points in the final at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Wooden Floor Gymnasium on Thursday. Brishti Khatun claimed silver medal in this event.
Urmi Akter said, ” I failed to bag gold in the women’s doubles. My luck did not favour that time. I clinched gold using my confidence. This is my best success.”
