Police in separates drives arrested 56 people, including an upazila unit ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, from ten upazilas of the district on Sunday.
Officials at Bogra district police media centre said several teams of police carried out drives in 10 upazilas of the district from 9:00 am to 6:00pm and arrested the 56 people.
Twenty three of them were arrested from Sadar upazila, while three from Shibganj, three from Sonatala, eight from Gabtali, two from Shariakandi, five from Dhunat, two from Sherpur, three from Nandigram, two from Adamdighi and four from Dupchanchia.
