Unity for preventing foreign cultural aggression stressed

 Participants at the thirty-first annual general meeting of Barisal Sangskritik Sangathan Samannaya Parishad, the alliance of 26 cultural organisations of the city, on Friday called to unite against all injustice and develop native culture preventing foreign cultural aggression.
The day long programme was inaugurated in Friday morning by Mamunor Rashid, distinguished drama writer, actor and director, at Barisal Aswani Kumar Hall.
A rally was marched on city roads as part of the inauguration ceremony in the first half of the programme.
Concluding part of the proggramme included discussion meeting and annual general council presided over by Syed Dulal, out going president BSSSP.
Among others dramatist Mamunor Rashid,Shah-Newaz, founder president BSSSP, Manabendra Batobayal, central committee member Shilpakala Academy, addressed the conference.  
The participants and discussants of the programme called to unite for spreading practice of Bengali cultural traditions in all aspects of life to prevent foreign cultural aggressions.
They also urged to be active and motivate the mass people for building a secular, non-communal and democratic Bangladesh abolishing all injustice and disparity as per dreams of the liberation war and freedom fighters.
Mizanur Rahman, out going secretary BSSSP, presented annual report discussed and approved by the participated about hundred delegates of the organisations.
Till this report council session of the programme was going on to elect new executive committee.
