Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth, aged around 28, from the Karnaphuli river Thursday.
Being informed by locals, Bakalia thana police recovered the body from under Shah Amanat Bridge around 3pm, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia police station.
Police suspected that the body might have been thrown into the river after murder.
