Police recovered the body of an unidentified young man from a mango orchard at Harina village in Bagha upazila on Sunday morning.
Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bagha Police Station, said locals spotted the body of the man, aged around 30, with his hands and legs tied with ropes in the orchard beside Tentulia-Harina Road at about 11:30 am and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police suspected that the young man might have been strangled to death sometime on Saturday night and the body dumped there.
Police filed a murder case in this connection, the OC added.
