Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from a river in Cheutia Ghat of Ashashuni upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased was wearing a half shirt and pants.
Officer-in-charge of Ashashuni Police Station Ahsan Habib said local people spotted the man’s body floating in the Kholpetua River at about 8:00am and informed police.
Later, law enforces recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police suspected that miscreants strangulated the man to death and dumped the body in the river.
