Meanwhile, a 10-member delegation of unemployed nurses submitted two copies of memoranda incoparating their demands to the Prime Minister (PMO) and the Health Ministery Offices (HMO) in the afternoon.

Farooq Hossain, Secretary General of Bangladesh Diploma unemployed Nurses Association, said, “It means nothing but to start the big bribe trading, the authority has issued circular to appoint 3616 senior staff nurses.”
Rajeev Kumar Biswas, Chairman of the Bangladesh Basic Graduate Nurses Society said “We are protesting the new recruitment notice to appoint the nurses ignoring seniority.
Earlier on March 28, the BPSC published a circular to recruit 3,616 senior staff nurses through the examination (preliminary, written, viva voce and health) instead of congenial seniority based appointment system.
But The PSC’s circular said applicants under the age of 36 and obtaining Bachelor of Science and diploma in nursing would face an examination.
This frustrated many unemployed nursing graduates who were hoping to be recruited on the basis of seniority.
