Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited provided scholarship to underprivileged meritorious students through its Chittagong North and South zones on Friday in the port city Chittagong. Chairman of Executive Committee of the bank Major General (Retd) Engr Abdul Matin was present in the function as chief guest. Prof Dr Md Nazmul Hassan and Prof Md Sirajul Karim, directors of the bank were present as special guests while the program was presided over by Md Abdul Hamid Miah, Managing Director and CEO of the bank.
Senior Executive Vice-President and Head of Chittagong North Zone Md Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee addressed the welcome speech. Among others, Mohammed Monirul Moula and JQM Habibullah, Deputy Managing Directors, Jafar Alam, Senior Executive Vice President, Md Siddiqur Rahman and Md Nizamul Haque, Executive Vice-Prsidents, executives of the bank, students and their guardians attended the program.
Major General (Retd) Engr Abdul Matin said student should have a dream to become rich and work to fulfill their dream. Islami Bank provided scholarship to underprivileged meritorious students that why they can take part in the development of the society and country.He also urged the students for working hard with perseverence to fulfill their goal. Managing Director and CEO of the bank Md Abdul Hamid Miah said spoke in the program.
