Two Leaders of Bangladesh Rotary will be honoured by United Nations for outstanding welfare activities. UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon will present the honour to District Governor of Rotary International Bangladesh Dist. 3281 SAM Sawket Hossain & Dr. Hashrat Ara Begum in the UN headquarters at New York.
The two Leaders will receive the honour at a ceremony in UN Head Quarters. Rotary International President K R Ravi Ravindran & other world leaders will present on the occasion.
This was disclosed by Rotary Governor SAM Sawket Hossain at a press conference held on Tuesday last at National Press Club, Dhaka. Among others, Former Governor Zainul Abedin, Hafizullah and Assistant Governor Abul Khair Chowdhury were present.
Governor told that Rotary implementing huge welfare projects in health, education, eradication of poverty, shelter for poors, destitute people, hospitals, vocational training institutes for distressed people of Bangladesh.
