A two-day golden jubilee celebration of University Laboratory (ULab) School and College under Institute of Education and Research of Dhaka University was held on the school compound.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the opening ceremony on Thursday as the chief guest.
Principal of the institution Habibur Rahman, Vice-Principals Senilan Banu and Feroza Akhtar spoke at the function with University Laboratory Ex-Students Association (ULESA) President Naim Ahmed Khan in the chair.
Prof Arefin said University Laboratory School achieved the trust of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, so he (Bangabandhu) had admitted his youngest son Sheikh Russell to the school.
He urged the students of the school to make themselves worthy citizens of the country.
