ULAB conducts workshop at BRACU Savar Campus

A team of faculty members from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) visited BRAC University’s Savar campus on Saturday to conduct a half-day workshop on Civic Education, Media Literacy, and Emotional Health, for 25 faculty members from BRAC University. The ULAB team comprised of Sajid Amit, Director, Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) and Director, EMBA; Prof Sumon Rahman, Prof Department of Media Studies and Journalism, and Director, Office of Faculty Research; and Adib Sarwar, Research Associate, CES.
This initiative was a part of the partnership agreement signed by ULAB and BRAC University to collaborate under the “Building Resilient Universities Project” (BRUP). The project is funded by a prestigious US-based grant, of which ULAB is the lead implementer. The project spans twelve months and various activities such as a Baseline survey of students; Faculty workshops; Curriculum Development and Co-curricular Student Projects. At the end of the event, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BRAC University, Prof Dr Ansar Ahmed, handed over crests to the visiting ULAB team as well as to Fahmida Rahman, Officer, Special Project, Vice Chancellor’s Office at BRAC University, for coordinating the program on BRAC University’s behalf.
